Transnational Access
Transnational Access to irradiation facilities is the cornerstone of the RADNEXT project. More than 6000 beam time hours are awarded during the four years of the project, in more than 20 different facilities in Europe and beyond.
Both academic and industrial groups are eligible for beam time as potential RADNEXT users, and in particular small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are strongly encouraged to submit their proposals. Beam time awarded for RADNEXT users is free of charge, funded by European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101008126.
Calls for Proposals will be opened to accept users’ research project to exploit the RADNEXT network. These proposals will be reviewed by an independent User Selection Panel (USP), that includes high-profile, international experts in the field of industrial and academic research on electronics’ radiation effects.
Submitted proposals will be evaluated, and final decisions communicated to the applicants, with short lead time, allowing the proposed activities to be performed few weeks after the proposal acceptance.
Eligibility
The EU Transnational Access scheme has precise eligibility rules for the members of a research team that want to exploit a facility in the consortium.
The user group leader, and the majority of the group members, must work in a country other than the one where the installation is located.
Only user groups that are allowed to disseminate the results they have generated under the action may benefit from the access, unless the users are working for SMEs.
For the full list of eligibility criteria, see the Article 16.1 of the Horizon 2020 Grant Agreement.
